From ff2ba654b8dbf1c92022c8fa95c6fd89b15f64ad Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Stephen Hemminger Date: Wed, 24 Nov 2010 08:47:43 -0800 Subject: Fix range checking on bridge port priority is limited to 0-63 Bug 5864 The STP port priority field is limited to a smaller range to allow more ports on the Linux bridge. Linux uses the same mapping as IOS so that in the STP port field there are 10 bits for port id and 6 bits for port priority. --- .../interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def | 4 ++-- .../ethernet/node.tag/vif/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def | 6 +++--- 2 files changed, 5 insertions(+), 5 deletions(-) (limited to 'templates/interfaces/ethernet') diff --git a/templates/interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def b/templates/interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def index 41cf303f..be0ff479 100644 --- a/templates/interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def +++ b/templates/interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def @@ -1,4 +1,4 @@ type: u32 help: Bridge port priority -syntax:expression: $VAR(@) >= 0 &&$VAR(@) <= 255; "Port priority must be between 1-255" -val_help: u32:1-255; Bridge port priority +syntax:expression: $VAR(@) >= 0 &&$VAR(@) < 64; "Port priority must be between 0-63" +val_help: u32:0-63; Bridge port priority diff --git a/templates/interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/vif/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def b/templates/interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/vif/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def index abda5971..be0ff479 100644 --- a/templates/interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/vif/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def +++ b/templates/interfaces/ethernet/node.tag/vif/node.tag/bridge-group/priority/node.def @@ -1,4 +1,4 @@ type: u32 -help: Port priority for this port -syntax:expression: $VAR(@) >= 0 &&$VAR(@) <= 255; "Port priority must be between 1-255" -val_help: u32:1-255; Bridge port priority +help: Bridge port priority +syntax:expression: $VAR(@) >= 0 &&$VAR(@) < 64; "Port priority must be between 0-63" +val_help: u32:0-63; Bridge port priority -- cgit v1.2.3
